2010 Priorities for our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program

2010 is a pivotal year for the development of Deckers CSR program. It will broaden from being supply chain focused to covering human rights, environmental, community and product development aspects. Deckers has hired a Director of CSR to oversee the program and develop a strategic framework to address the social and environmental issues related to our business. Our key 2010 priorities are the following:

• Staff a full-time Director of CSR to develop Deckers’ CSR strategy and drive key CSR initiatives.
• Expand Ethical Supply Chain monitoring beyond Tier 1 factories to prioritized material suppliers/vendors.
• To establish an internal CSR employee engagement program by offering various ways to engage in Deckers’ team and community activity and programs.
• Improve factory performance on ESC compliance through the use of metrics and root-cause analysis.
• Create stakeholder relations framework & plan for reaching out beyond Deckers.
